Bodega & Bullfighting

Before the famous city of Jerez was founded, local wine production came from Seville. Learn why Columbus´s ships took it to the Americas.

We travel by bus to the Aljarafe on the outskirts of Seville, where the Phoenicians, Romans and Moors cultivated the land for centuries. There we will visit an ancient bodega, and tell you about the history and process of wine (sherry) making in the region. The bodegas we visit in this region really are authentic - you will meet the owner to whose family it has belonged for generations, and at the end of the visit you will be able to sample the wines.

Close by is the local bull ring with bullfighting school, the home of Espartaco (Spartacus) probably the most famous bullfighter ever in Spain. You will learn about this deep-rooted tradition, and see the young bullfighters training, some of whom have already had major fights at the age of 18! This is a unique opportunity, as generally it is not an easy world to enter into. We can assure you a memorable experience that does not involve live animals.
