ImageWe offer two main tours of Seville, a morning walking tour and an afternoon tour of the main monuments.

Seville walking tour

This morning tour takes you to places of beauty and interest, both from a historical perspective but also looking at life in the city today. We believe we have developed something different, a tour which will give you a broad insight into this great city, something that suprises our customers and that they really enjoy. We aim to strike a good balance between old and new, because we have experienced tours in other cities that just become a blur of historical dates and facts, and we see our objective as providing entertainment and information of interest rather than just a history lesson. The tour starts at 10.30am and lasts about 2.5 hours, including a break for coffee if required, with the chance to try a typical Spanish late breakfast or mid-morning snack. Languages: English and Spanish.

Seville monuments tour

The afternoon tour starts at 2pm, again for the same duration, and involves a guided tour of the Cathedral and Alcázar Palace. Luis Salas the guide is Spanish but speaks excellent English, and has years of experience working with customers from the USA, UK and other countires. Luis worked for 4 years in the Alcázar and as a result provides a tour that is unbeatable. He will give you a refreshing perspective on both monuments, telling you about the anecdotes, their role in the history of the city etc. He will also get you instant access without the need to join queues, which can sometimes be lengthy. Languages: English and Spanish.

You are able to select either one of the tours or both. We feel that anyone who does both will leave Seville with a comprehensive understanding of the history and culture of this wonderful city, and as such offer a discount for customers who want to do both (see pricing)

Please let us know if you have particular interests; we cover a number of topics on our tours, from Easter week, flamenco and pottery to the Spanish Inquisition. We are flexible and like to put emphasis on the subjects that interest you most, but if you are happy to keep an open mind, we are delighted to show you the things that we know and love and that we believe you will too. As a result of customer feedback, we have recently begun a version of the morning tour for the Jewish Community interested in discovery the rich Jewish history of Seville. The tour extends far further than just the district of Santa Cruz, and includes other aspects of the history of Seville as well. Please contact us for more details.

The maximum group size is 10 people (although we may take a larger number where it is a group of friends, a company visit etc), so when a day is fully booked we will give you the option of other days. We keep the group sizes small because we want to be able to give you our attention (have you ever been at the back in a group of 50 trying to hear what the guide is saying?), but also because the places we take you to are local places, and we want to keep them local and preserve the atmosphere for others in the future.

At the end of the tour we will collect the balance of the payment, and would also welcome any feedback you would like to give us. We constantly attempt to reach even higher levels of quality in what we do, and like to expand our offering based on customer ideas and suggestions.

We have used the word "tour" a lot on this page, a word that we don't really like but that we need to use as it is what people think of when they look for this type of service. For us it conjures up images (that we see here often near the cathedral) of a guide with umbrella raised high in the air, with 50 people dressed in white woolly coats following behind!! What we do is something very different. Yes we tell you about Seville, show you the city, uncover the secret places, but it's not one way - we like to know about you as well (if you want to tell us!) and that's something you never get in large groups. We tried to come up with a nice simple description of what we do instead of "tour", and here is what we got:- "taking small groups of really interesting people and showing them the fantastic places and secrets of this amazing city, getting to know them, sharing the oustanding cultural aspects such as food and flamenco with them, and all of this with lots of smiling"! Yes OK its too long, but it's what we do, and what we love doing. We hope one day you will share IT with us!!

Suitability for Children: it is unlikely that the tour will be suitable for very young children. We may often visit places of religious significance where silence out of respect for the local people is very important.  We will also be walking in narrow streets, and depending on the time of year, the heat may be a little too much for youngsters.
