The Alhambra tour is normally in the afternoon and should, where possible, be booked well in advance, as the Alhambra is often sold out ahead of time. We use a local guide, half-British half-Spanish who is first class and will bring this virtual wonder of the world to life for you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING TICKETS FOR THE ALHAMBRA. Unlike virtually any other monument in Andalucia, the Alhambra gets fully booked, quite often well in advance. When you book you will be given a time for entry (morning or afternoon for the whole complex and a time, at half-hourly intervals, for entry into the Palacios Nazaries) which you cannot change - people arriving late will not be admitted. It is highly advisable to book well ahead, this can be done in different ways:-

-  though the website www.alhambra-tickets.es, although please note that this is sometime blocked when there is no availability. You should have your debit or credit card to hand, price 12 euros per person (at the time of writing). It is worth noting that you will be offered a time of entry by the system - if it is not the time you want but might be acceptable, save the window then try again, you will probably be offered a different time!!

- via the telephone, 902 888 001 in Spain or 0034 934 923 750 from outside. Through either Internet or phone you can book up to 3 months in advance. You collect the tickets on the day of entry from the ticket office or automatic machines - you will need the debit/credit card with you that you paid with. There are no refunds, and a maximum of 5 tickets can be purchased. If you are a larger group, you may make multiple purchases of 5, but you will not be able to enter at the same time.

- at offices of the bank La Caixa during bank opening hours. Please note though that branches in Seville for example are now referring customers to the telephone number above.

- via the ticket office in the Alhambra, sometimes on the day but this normally means getting there early. It is safer to buy there one or two days ahead. Price will be 12 euros per person (at the time of writing).

Please note that because of the system that the Alhambra has, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO PURCHASE TICKETS FOR CUSTOMERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This is not through a lack of willingness, simply that if we book on your behalf, you will not be able to collect your tickets when you get there because you would need our credit card.
