Typical tapas bar in Seville
Although many of our customers expect the day tours to be the highlight of their trip, our introductory evening with tapas tour in Seville and Granada has proved to be a huge hit. This is not only because of the amazing places we take you to and the superb prices (and in Granada tapas are FREE, but you have to know how to get good food as the majority is poor), but also because it gives us the chance to get to know you, and help you enjoy these wonderful cities. And when you take the tour the next day, you will feel like you are meeting an old friend, rather than a guide who launches straight into a history lesson. Take a look at what our customers say about the experience.

We meet in authentic local tapas bars where the menu is often in Spanish only, not in tourist restaurants (it is interesting to see how prices differ when one knows the place and speaks the language - this UK Travel Guardian article makes interesting reading!!). Start time is normally 8.30 - 9.00pm. When you make a reservation with us, we normally call you in the place you are staying when you arrive to provide you with details on how to get to the tapas bar (or we can collect you from your hotel depending on location). Groups are always small, maximum 10 people (please note we may take more if it is a group of friends, a company etc) and the evening will give you chance to meet the others who you may share the tour with the following day. And, as with our tours, we vary the tapas bars we go to because we want them to stay authentic and fresh. We have no ties to one or another - we take no financial incentives for taking our customers to these places.

The time together is relaxed and informal. Please bear in mind that we will follow local customs, which for example may mean eating tapas standing at the bar or outside on a high table (for families with children though we always aim to get a table). We will advise you on the typical local food and drink you might like to try either there and then, or later during your stay in other bars and restaurants. We will answer any questions you have about the city, its people and its customs. We can also give you general advice and suggestions of places to visit and things to do while you are here. We will also collect the reservation deposit where appropriate.

Suitability for people with children: Spain does not have the same restrictions on children entering bars and restaurants where alcohol is served. In fact it is quite common to see children accompanying their parents until quite late at night. This service may therefore be suitable for children, especially as we may well be eating outside. Please bear in mind though that the tapas bars we go to are likely to be busy.
